ABOUT THE CONCERT

“Heart Meditation” is a work for ensemble and electronic track by Annamaria Kowalsky, a multidisciplinary composer and performer who blends classical training with contemporary and multimedia practice. Composed in 2021, the piece sets two time systems against each other: an internal pulse modeled on the heartbeat, and measured clock seconds. The musicians move intuitively through thirty-second time-frames, each finding their own path yet meeting at fixed anchor points where they must realign together. The result is an eleven-minute journey that oscillates between individual freedom and collective breath, inviting both players and listeners into a contemplative, almost bodily awareness of time. CreArtBox gave the work's US premiere.
